"गुरु ब्रह्मा, गुरु विष्णु, गुरु देवो महेश्वरः।

भारतीय संस्कृति में गुरु का स्थान भगवान से भी ऊँचा माना गया है। गुरु केवल पढ़ाने वाला शिक्षक नहीं होता, बल्कि वह व्यक्ति होता है जो हमारे जीवन से अज्ञान का अंधकार दूर करके ज्ञान का प्रकाश फैलाता है। "गु" का अर्थ है अंधकार और "रु" का अर्थ है उसे दूर करने वाला। इसलिए गुरु वह है जो हमें सही मार्ग दिखाता है।

प्राचीन भारत में गुरु का स्थान

भारत की प्राचीन गुरुकुल परंपरा विश्व की सबसे महान शिक्षा प्रणालियों में से एक थी। विद्यार्थी वर्षों तक अपने गुरु के आश्रम में रहकर केवल शिक्षा ही नहीं, बल्कि जीवन जीने की कला भी सीखते थे।

भगवान श्रीराम ने महर्षि वशिष्ठ और विश्वामित्र से शिक्षा प्राप्त की। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने गुरु संदीपनि के आश्रम में अध्ययन किया। महाभारत में अर्जुन जैसे महान धनुर्धर भी गुरु द्रोणाचार्य के मार्गदर्शन से ही श्रेष्ठ बने।

कबीरदास जी ने गुरु के महत्व को इन शब्दों में बताया है—

"गुरु गोविंद दोऊ खड़े, काके लागूँ पाय।
बलिहारी गुरु आपने, गोविंद दियो बताय॥"

अर्थात यदि गुरु और भगवान दोनों सामने खड़े हों, तो पहले गुरु को प्रणाम करना चाहिए क्योंकि गुरु ही भगवान तक पहुँचने का मार्ग बताते हैं।

गुरु केवल विद्यालय का शिक्षक नहीं होता

जीवन में हमें अनेक प्रकार के गुरु मिलते हैं।

• माता-पिता हमारे पहले गुरु होते हैं।

• विद्यालय के शिक्षक हमें शिक्षा देते हैं।

• जीवन के अनुभव हमें सिखाते हैं।

• अच्छे मित्र हमें सही दिशा दिखाते हैं।

• पुस्तकें भी मौन गुरु होती हैं।

• और आज के समय में डिजिटल माध्यमों से ज्ञान देने वाले योग्य शिक्षक भी गुरु की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं।

इसलिए गुरु का स्वरूप समय के साथ बदल सकता है, लेकिन उसका उद्देश्य हमेशा एक ही रहता है—ज्ञान देना और जीवन को बेहतर बनाना।

आधुनिक युग में गुरु का बदलता स्वरूप

आज इंटरनेट का युग है।

ऑनलाइन कोर्स, यूट्यूब, डिजिटल क्लासरूम, पॉडकास्ट और ई-लर्निंग प्लेटफॉर्म के माध्यम से ज्ञान पहले से कहीं अधिक सुलभ हो गया है।

लेकिन यहाँ एक महत्वपूर्ण बात समझने योग्य है।

जानकारी (Information) और ज्ञान (Wisdom) दोनों अलग-अलग चीज़ें हैं।

इंटरनेट हमें जानकारी दे सकता है, लेकिन उस जानकारी का सही उपयोग कैसे करना है, यह एक योग्य गुरु ही सिखा सकता है।

इसी कारण आज भी एक अच्छे शिक्षक, कोच, मेंटर या मार्गदर्शक की आवश्यकता पहले जितनी ही है।

गुरु क्यों आवश्यक है?

जीवन में हर व्यक्ति कभी न कभी भ्रम, असफलता और कठिनाइयों का सामना करता है।

ऐसे समय में गुरु—

• सही निर्णय लेने में सहायता करता है।

• हमारी गलतियों को सुधारता है।

• आत्मविश्वास बढ़ाता है।

• अनुशासन सिखाता है।

• चरित्र निर्माण करता है।

• हमारी छिपी हुई क्षमता को पहचानने में मदद करता है।

एक अच्छा गुरु केवल विषय नहीं पढ़ाता, बल्कि सोचने का तरीका बदल देता है।

आज के समाज में गुरु की नई भूमिका

आज गुरु केवल स्कूल तक सीमित नहीं है।

• एक व्यवसायी के लिए अनुभवी मेंटर गुरु है।

• एक खिलाड़ी के लिए उसका कोच गुरु है।

• एक कलाकार के लिए उसका प्रशिक्षक गुरु है।

• एक निवेशक के लिए अनुभवी निवेशक और वित्तीय शिक्षक गुरु हैं।

• एक आध्यात्मिक साधक के लिए उसका आध्यात्मिक गुरु जीवन का मार्गदर्शक है।

हर क्षेत्र में सफलता के पीछे किसी न किसी गुरु का योगदान अवश्य होता है।

क्या केवल गुरु होना पर्याप्त है?

नहीं।

जितना महत्वपूर्ण गुरु है, उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण एक अच्छा शिष्य होना भी है।

यदि शिष्य में सीखने की इच्छा, विनम्रता, अनुशासन और निरंतर अभ्यास नहीं है, तो श्रेष्ठ गुरु भी उसे सफलता नहीं दिला सकता।

गुरु मार्ग दिखाता है, लेकिन उस मार्ग पर चलना शिष्य का कर्तव्य है।

गुरु का सम्मान क्यों करना चाहिए?

जो व्यक्ति अपने गुरु का सम्मान करता है, वह ज्ञान का भी सम्मान करता है।

गुरु के प्रति श्रद्धा हमें विनम्र बनाती है। विनम्रता से सीखने की क्षमता बढ़ती है और यही गुण व्यक्ति को जीवन में आगे ले जाता है।

आज के समय में जब लोग तुरंत सफलता चाहते हैं, तब गुरु हमें धैर्य, परिश्रम और निरंतर सीखते रहने का महत्व समझाता है।
